Fall Decorating with Pops of Green!

September 8, 2019 Nissa-Lynn Parson

I love decorating for fall!

Fall is in the air and I’ve already started decorating! So tell me, who says fall decor has to always be orange and brown? Why not shake fall decor up with a more romantic approach?

That’s why I love decorating with soft, romantic colors. White and sage pumpkins, pastel colored hydrangeas, with a background of festive wood signs and rustic accessories.

Just about every piece of the darling decor is from Krumpet’s Home Decor. Use code: NISSALYNN for 10% off your total order!

It’s also fun to decorate in front of the fireplace. It helps the room to feel cozy. A basket with pillows and a throw are a must. I also added the basket of faux green pumpkins and the cream colored pumpkin.

How one achieve this look? It’s all about layering! Whatever space you’re decorating, start with your largest items first! With my coffee table decor, I put down the tray first. Then the largest focal point pumpkin in the middle. Then I add the candle sticks. From there I start adding the small white pumpkins, and fall stems. You don’t have to cover ever inch of the tray, but enough so it’s not sparse.

I used the same method when decorating my fall fireplace. I started with my largest signs and added pieces. Always remember when adding pieces to always balance. Balance is pleasing unto the eye.

The sunflower came from Hobby Lobby. I love this lighter colored one because it fits better with my neutral decor.

First, I placed the Pumpkin Patch sign centered on my fireplace mantle. Then I added the greenery and pumpkins around it.

I get asked all the time where the green pumpkin came from. I bought it at TJ Maxx a couple years ago. Every year they have the most amazing faux pumpkins!

Happy Mother’s Day! 💐 I love this sign! It always makes me smile! Motherhood is not easy, and each stage of raising children comes with its own set of challenges and trials. (With five children ages 7-21, I totally understand). But for me it&r
Mother’s Day is right around the corner and what a more wonderful way to celebrate Moms than with a Mother’s Day Tea Party! But you don’t need to wait for Mother’s Day to have a celebration like this - you could host a si
This room is getting a refresh! It used to be my daughters’s room - decorated in gray and neutral tones. But now that she’s married and has a place of her own, it’s a guest bedroom. I’m going to give it a new look with new fur
