I love decorating for fall!
Fall is in the air and I’ve already started decorating! So tell me, who says fall decor has to always be orange and brown? Why not shake fall decor up with a more romantic approach?
That’s why I love decorating with soft, romantic colors. White and sage pumpkins, pastel colored hydrangeas, with a background of festive wood signs and rustic accessories.
How one achieve this look? It’s all about layering! Whatever space you’re decorating, start with your largest items first! With my coffee table decor, I put down the tray first. Then the largest focal point pumpkin in the middle. Then I add the candle sticks. From there I start adding the small white pumpkins, and fall stems. You don’t have to cover ever inch of the tray, but enough so it’s not sparse.
I used the same method when decorating my fall fireplace. I started with my largest signs and added pieces. Always remember when adding pieces to always balance. Balance is pleasing unto the eye.
I ‘m going to carry the same type decor theme in my dining room. That way the decor in the house flows and feels unified. Stay tuned - pics to come!
